Education and Training Experience
Xiaofei Sun was graduated from Medical college of Sun Yat-Sen University in November 1982 and got a Bachelor of Medicine. After graduation, she worked as pediatrist in the affiliated third hospital of Sun Yat-Sen University in 1982-1986. She continued with her post-graduate training at Sun Yat-Sen University in 1986-1989 and got a master’s degree of pediatric hematology. She subsequently works at cancer center of Sun Yat-Sen University as attending doctor, associated professor and now as professor of department. of medical oncology. In 1995-1996, she spent one year at Department of Pediatrics, Aichi Medical University in Japan, as a visiting fellow. In 2000, she also went on to take a short term study in Hematology/Oncology Unite, Department of Pediatrics of Hong Kong University.

Research and Professional Experience
Dr Sun’s research is focused on developing molecular, prognostic and therapeutic approaches to improve the care for pediatric and adolescent patients with lymphoma, leukemia and solid tumor, specifically in lymphoma treatment. She set up the first pediatric medical oncology unite in the cancer centers in China and adopting international standard treatment strategy and protocols for pediatric and adolescent patients with cancer. Dr Sun is a member of the International Society of Paediatric Oncology (SIOP) and a commissary for Committee Pediatric Oncology in Chinese Anticancer Association and vice chairman of Committee Pediatric Oncology in Anticancer Association of Guangdong Province. She is manuscript reviewer of Chinese Journal of Clinic Oncology and member of the editorial board of Journal of Pediatric Oncology.
