Zhifan Huang, M. D., Professor, Postgraduate Supervisor, Member of Committee of Provincial Thoracic, Cardiac Surgery, Former Director of Department of Thoracic Surgery.
    Dr. Huang received his M.D. from Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Science (SUMS) in 1964.After that he devoted himself to the clinical researches of thoracic cancer. His clinical researches mainly focus on diagnosis and surgical treatment of lung carcinoma, esophageal carcinoma, mediastinal neoplasm, breast carcinoma and so on. In order to make progress, he also introduced and implemented lots of novel surgical techniques. In Guangdong, he was the first to conduct bronchoplasty and pulmonary artery reconstruction for lung cancer, surgical treatment of pulmonary metastasis, multioperation for non-small cell lung cancer, total pleuropnemonectomy and inversion esophagectomy without thoracotomy. Also, he has conducted a series of research projects and the accomplishments were awarded the Fourth Prize of Science and Technology from provincial educational bureau, The Second Prize of Science and Technology Development from SUMS, and The Second Prize of Medical Development from SUMS.
