Sun Yat-Sen University Cancer Center was established in 1964. It was one of the four early-founded
cancer centers in China and was a top national institute with four
missions: patient care, scientific research, medical
education and prevention. It served the patients in GuangDong province, Hongkong, Macao and southeast Asian
countries, playing a leading role in the field of cancer
research and cancer control in these areas.
